"We have been working with Louise on the renovation of our 18th century country home over the past 12 months. Finding the right interior design studio was very challenging. We spent hours with e-mails and phone calls trying to find someone who understood our vision for the property. That vision being to bring the house back to life in a sympathetic way. We wanted the interior to have a nod to the past but not to be stuck in the past. We felt it would be all too easy to have an interior that looked contrived and this was something we were very keen to avoid. From our first conversation with Louise we knew she was the right person. Why? Louise is an amazing talent and that was obvious straight away. She did not try and impose her own preferences on us. Our preferred design style is one that brings about a sense of calm.We hate noisy fabrics and colours. Louise was really detailed in seeking to understand what we liked and disliked. She then took all that information and presented us with a sensational plan. It exceeded all expectations. We cannot express how delighted we are with the concepts Louise has created for us. We could never have achieved these concepts without her. It still baffles us how she managed to guide us to exactly what we wanted. Our next step is to bring the vision that Louise has created to life over the next year or so. We cannot wait!"  J & A

INITIAL CONSULTATION:

The consultation is an initial one on one meeting with Louise to discuss the project and the desired brief. Where possible this meeting is held on site, to understand the scope of the project and to see the property, taking into consideration the exterior and interior architecture and the property location. A detailed fee proposal will then be sent to the client outlining the project.

COLLABORATIVE CONCEPT DESIGN:

Before we start the design process, we will take time to get to know you, what you like and don't like, how you live and how you'd like your home to make you feel.

By creating a set of concept designs through full collaboration with you, we will agree on a scheme that fully suits you. Should you prefer to implement the designs yourself, it will serve as a guiding road map for you to refer to when you put these designs together. The concept designs will comprise a full set of sketch designs and will include the following (depending on your specific project):

  • Inspiration boards.

  • Furniture layout plans.

  • Scheme/ sketch designs and visual presentations to agree the overall designs. This is to include colour boards showing colour schemes, fabrics, paint colours, curtains, other soft furnishings etc.

  • Suggestions of any new furniture, rugs, light fittings etc.

  • Sourcing of fabric samples.

  • Suggestions of window treatments.

  • Decorative support.

  • List of all items suggested in the designs and where to buy them.

  • Any existing furniture/ artworks/ rugs that you’d like to keep will be incorporated into the new design.

"She respected or modest budget and made helpful suggestions to keep the cost down. We are very excited to turn her ideas into our reality. Thanks so much Louise!"  KC

A set of concept designs can be created as a stand alone service for period home owners who would like to benefit from a bespoke interior design service but prefer to implement the designs themselves. Adding developed design, procurement or project management is optional.

" Louise came to help me with decorating the extension we have recently built. I had already looked into furniture and fabrics but wasn't sure if they would look right in the room. Louise really helped me with this and listened to what I wanted to achieve, tweaking my ideas so that the area isn't too matchy-matchy (which I knew I couldn't do on my own)"  Isobel

DEVELOPED DESIGN:

Once the concept designs have been approved, we will provide developed designs and create detailed drawings such as electrical and lighting plans.
