Initial   Design Consultation

Initial  Design Consultation

Whether you're excited to start a new interior design project or you just need some friendly professional advice on your interior project, this design solutions package might be just what you've been looking for. We understand that it might not be a full design service that you need, but only a helping hand and a little advice.

Do you need help deciding on how to paint the walls, cornice and skirtings of your period home? Perhaps you don't know how to keep the history of the house alive within a new design scheme without creating a museum? Maybe you're unsure of whether or not you should replace the missing dado rail, or you’re simply feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions to be made.

Perhaps you’re stuck on colour choices, can't decide on what to do with the too big living room, or maybe you're just afraid of making expensive mistakes. It's an easy and affordable way to solve your interior design dilemmas or to simply improve the spaces in your home.

How does it work?

Get in Touch

Phone or e-mail the studio to discuss your interior design dilemma(s) and the area(s) in your home that you find challenging. We'll ask some questions on your project and brief details will be taken. We will also ask you to provide some background information and images to help with research before our meeting. Should you then wish to proceed, an e-mail will be sent confirming arrangements for a consultation in your home at a mutually convenient time.

Consultation

Louise will visit you in your home for up to two hours to give advice on colours, fabrics, furniture layouts, space planning or simply helping you with your own decorating ideas.

During our time together we'll talk about how to solve your design dilemmas, provide you with valuable professional advice and give you the design direction you need to fulfil the potential of your home.

The Design Solutions Package could be useful for:

  • paint colour choices

  • fabric choices

  • window treatment ideas

  • deciding on how best to use a space

  • lighting options

  • hardware selection

  • upholstery decisions

  • colour scheme

  • space planning

  • furniture selection

  • furniture re-arrangement

  • artwork placement

  • room decor discussions

Design Notes

Following the consultation, a digital report containing all the points covered during the consultation will be sent by e-mail. Depending on the project, this report could include colour suggestions, furniture placement suggestions, fabric samples and so on. A shopping list will also be included.

Remote Consultation

The Design Solutions Consultation can also be tailored as a full e-design or online service. The only difference will be that we arrange to have a virtual consultation via Zoom. We will ask you to answer some questions and submit visual information, for example rough plans with measurements, photos and videos. Once we have received all the relevant information, we will start working on your proposed designs and you will receive the same set of designs as above.

Pastries - $4

Louise came to help me with decorating the extension we have recently built. I had already looked into furniture and fabrics but wasn't sure if they would look right in the room. Louise really helped me with this and listened to what I wanted to achieve, tweaking my own ideas so that the area isn't too matchy-matchy (which I knew I couldn't do on my own). Really helpful service, and most importantly for me she augmented my own ideas by listening to me. She's also saved me money by suggesting I didn't need to buy some expensive furnishings - which was fantastic. I really recommend her help.
